About us<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DERECHO (Defense of European Rights and Excellence for Consumers Harmonization)<\/strong> is a Jean Monnet Module of the European Union coordinated by CEU San Pablo University<\/strong>. Its mission is to lead innovation and strengthen knowledge and implementation of Consumer Law in the European Union, with a special focus on digital fairness, sustainability, and the harmonization of consumer protection within the Single Market. The project combines teaching, research, and outreach<\/strong>, bringing European law closer to society through training activities, academic publications, and awareness-raising initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project revolves around three major strategic pillars<\/strong> aligned with the European Union\u2019s pro-consumer policies: online and offline regulatory harmonization, Digital Fairness for a just digital transition<\/strong>, and sustainability <\/strong>within the framework of the Green Transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collective work \u201cThe New European Consumer Law: Ten Reforms for its Modernization in the 2020s\u201d is authored by professors from Univ. San Pablo CEU and 5 other public and private universities, analyzing major reforms in European Union Consumer Law from a digital and sustainable perspective.
